Our Activities
Jharkhand Liver and Kidney Foundation– Health Education –
Jharkhand Liver and Kidney Foundation is dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing. We focus on educating people about liver and kidney care through awareness programs. With the help of doctors and health advisors, we spread essential knowledge to prevent diseases and maintain organ health. Our mission is to empower communities with accurate information to lead healthier lives and reduce preventable conditions affecting the liver and kidneys.
– Blood Donation Camp –
Understanding the importance of a stable blood supply, we organize regular blood donation camps. People suffering from liver and kidney diseases often require blood transfusions. We collaborate with healthcare professionals to raise awareness about these conditions and encourage voluntary blood donation. Our camps not only collect blood but also educate donors about organ health, creating a culture of care, awareness, and support for those in need.
– Health Awareness Camp –
We regularly organize health awareness camps focused on liver and kidney care. These programs educate people on how to keep their organs healthy and prevent disease. By spreading awareness about early signs and preventive measures, we help individuals take control of their health. Through expert talks, Q&A sessions, and informative material, we aim to build a well-informed community that prioritizes liver and kidney health.
– Monthly Medical Camps –
Every month, we conduct free medical camps offering consultation, liver and kidney testing, diagnosis, and medicines. These camps are aimed at supporting underprivileged communities by giving them access to essential healthcare services. Our team of professionals ensures early detection and advice on maintaining organ health. Through these efforts, we make healthcare accessible and spread awareness about the importance of regular checkups for liver and kidney function.
– Accurate Treatment of Stomach Disorders via Endoscopic Ultrasound –
Ranchi: A live workshop on Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) was organized by the Orchid Heritage Institute on Saturday. Gastrointestinal specialists Dr. Jimmy Narayan from Odisha and Dr. Rakesh Kumar from Bokaro briefed fellow experts on EUS techniques and its functional methodologies. Dr. Akhilesh Yadav assisted during the live surgeries.
Gastroenterologist Dr. Jayant Ghosh explained that this technology allows for the easy identification and diagnosis of stomach issues and cancer. He noted that:
-
Biopsy becomes much simpler.
-
There is no excessive bleeding; if it does occur, it can be managed effectively.
Director Siddhant Jain stated that the hospital is now equipped to treat all abdominal diseases, with the exception of certain liver-specific conditions.
Dr. Jimmy Narayan, visiting from Odisha, emphasized that the primary causes of stomach problems are the consumption of fried foods and packaged items. He recommended incorporating fruits, whole grains (millets), and boiled food into one’s diet to reduce gastrointestinal issues.
